En el Estado Chiapas, exactamente en la ciudad de Palenque se puede encontrar con variedad de actividades y atractivos, mediante las agencias de turismo se puede conseguir tours, y así estar en contacto con la naturaleza, uno de los sitios mas visitados se encuentra al sur de Palenque, ideal para la practicar kayak, rodeado de abundante vegetación selvática. Agua Clara: Se ubica a 55 Km. al oeste de la población de Palenque por la carretera federal núm. 199, tomando después una carretera local a la altura del Km. 27. Es una zona turística de 90 ha enclavada entre dos grandes ríos, el Tulijá y el Shumulhá. Es un lugar perfecto para practicar el kayak en las aguas cristalinas color azul del río Shumuljá, enmarcado por el incomparable paisaje de la selva chiapaneca.

Quien visite la bella ciudad de Tuxtla Gutiérrez podrá encontrar todo tipo de artesanías de las diferentes regiones del estado. Entre las que destacan están las hamacas, los tejidos a mano en lana cruda y los bellos bordados sobre la tela de algodón elaborados en San Juan Chamula y Tila, las piezas de alfarería creadas en Suchiapa, los juguetes y las tallas de madera de Venustiano Carranza y San Cristóbal de las Casas, y las famosas lacas de Chiapa de Corzo, así como las joyas de ámbar y filigrana que gozan de una amplia difusión por toda la entidad. Estos trabajos artesanales los podrá adquirir en los mercados tradicionales o en la tienda de la Casa de las Artesanías ubicada en el Blvd. Belisario Domínguez.
