The capital of Chiapas’s State is Tuxtla Gutiérrez, has an agreeable climate. The city lies in a valley where you can find a mixture of architectural styles, as the neocolonial and contemporary, in some of its more important historical, such buildings as the Cathedral of San Marcos. Near the city there is the people called Chiapa de Corzo, beside visiting the Mayan ceremonial center, you can explore the Sumidero Canyon, one of the more impressive natural attractions of the nation occupied by an artificial lake that produces a great percentage of the electricity of Mexico. In Chiapas’s central region, to 85 km, is located San Cristobal de las Casas. This city has urban precious designs, there you can discover impressive religious buildings as the Cathedral or the Temple of Santo Domingo, near which you can find a market outdoors of crafts and textiles that it is perfect if you want to go shopping. San Cristóbal is a calm city, but it takes place where you can enjoy a good night life.
